About Twitter Fiction Events

Mass Twitter Fiction Events are a new level of interactive fiction. Through our Twitter account, MassTwitFic, we set the themes; and by using your Twitter posts, you write the tale. Tweet as if you’re there!

How it works:

#tfe stands for Twitter Fiction Event. Anyone can participate, you just need an internet connection, a twitter account and an imagination!

During the event we will post updates describing what’s happening. You tweet as if you’re there: react, interact, create.

Some users create fictional characters just for Twitter Fiction Events, while some writers tweet as characters from their books.

You can follow other users involved, using twitter search to follow the tag #tfe. If you @reply them, the story will come alive!

We advise you to forewarn your followers that you’re in a fiction event, or tweets like “OH GOD IT’S EATING ME AAAGH! #tfe” may cause alarm!

Warning:@MassTwitFic is not liable for any injuries experienced during a #tfe, be it building collapse, being eaten alive…or pinky splinters.

Due to potential problems with search-latency on twitsearch we recommend following anyone using a #tfe tag –at least for the story’s duration. Update: Thanks to the new twitter List feature, we’ve set up a #tfe list. Hope it helps.

Most importantly, remember; there isn’t a right or wrong way to participate. Everyone who takes part puts their own individual stamp on it.

And last but not least; have fun.
